Assistant Recruitment and Placement Officer

Major Duties :

  • To assist in student outreach, recruitment and placement activities;
  • To provide programmes’ information, advice and guidance to prospective students;
  • To establish connections with secondary schools’ teachers, career masters, industry professionals and prospective employers to meet recruitment and placement targets;
  • To prepare and update relevant programme information and statistical records for student recruitment and management information purposes;
  • To assist in organizing, overseeing and executing Institutes’ student recruitment activities such as Info Days, Campus Visits, publicity programmes and career seminars; and
  • To assist in handling correspondence in relation to the programme publicity and administration.

Requirements :

  • A recognized higher diploma in the discipline of hospitality management or relevant discipline, or equivalent;
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in hotel/catering industry and/or teaching;
  • Good knowledge in computer software applications;
  • Able to develop and deliver presentations;
  • Good proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese, preferably with knowledge of Putonghua;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Self-initiative and positive work attitude; and
  • Ability to pass a trade test.

Notes :

  1. The post is in the rank of “Instructor".
  2. Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the Requirement (a) above but possessing 8 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification.
  3. The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
  4. In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
