Assistant Relationship Manager, Private Banking

You will be responsible for identifying, originating and developing client relationships with high net worth individuals or families, especially for mainland customers, on an ongoing basis to achieve the business strategies stipulated by the company.

Job Responsibilities

  • Originate, develop and maintain client relationships within the high net worth segment, especially for mainland clients
  • Ensure that the onboarding and review requirements are in accordance to Company's and Bank’s AML/KYC standards and regulatory requirements, performs appropriate due diligence checks and information searches if needed
  • Assist in completing any relevant inquiries/ tasks as well as related documents, checklists, forms and reports related to the client account
  • Oversight the end-to end account opening/ review process of the account. Engage appropriately and efficiently with other relevant stakeholders such as Compliance if necessary, to enable account opening/ review are completed in an efficient and timely manner
  • Meet clients and/or provide assistance in organizing client meetings for account management matters
  • Responsible for reporting all incidents in relation to Account Management matters according to the internal policy
  • Stay abreast of the latest investment and financial market both in China & Hong Kong, solicit and develop business from potential prospects and clients
  • Expand client base through prospecting and increase existing clients’ portfolios through cross-selling of products within our wide product platform

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Finance or experience in servicing mainland clients will also be considered
  • 3 years private banking or relevant experience in handling finance related customers, especially in China segment 
  • Familiar with KYC / AML and account documentation with knowledge of wealth management products
  • Excellent selling, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be client-centric while balancing business needs and controls
  • Professional licensing qualifications on HKSI LE Papers 1, 7 & 8
  • Self-motivated, proactive and result-oriented 
  • Candidate with strong connection and exposure in networks is definite an advantage
  • Proficient in Chinese and Mandarin
  • Immediately available candidates are preferred
