Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • To assist in the adidas brand (Sport Style - Originals), especially in Public Relations and Above-the-line communications as the best sports brand in HK.
  • Executing processes to continuously create positive reputation for our brand from mass media; further building adidas as the best sports brand
  • Budget: Follow PR/Brand Communications budget as set per the marketing plan 

Responsibilities: 

Planning and Execution

  • Assist in development of Public Relations and Brand Communications plans according to marketing strategy for adidas (Sport Style - Originals)
  • Assist in building good relationships with the media that will ultimately allow adidas to communicate our core concept message, product information and events more effectively and efficiently
  • Pro-actively work with the product marketing team in developing the message / press releases required for product features
  • Support non-campaign products through PR pitching and advertorial 
  • Assist in marketing support assets creation, such as key visuals and moving content 
  • Collaborate with other marketing functions to execute an integrated marketing plan
  • Support on analyzing ROI with data and references
  • Monitor competitors’ activities and provide suggestions to defend our position in the market

Financial

  • Assist in management of Marketing Working Budget spend reports and tracking sheets; follow internal finance procedures; on-going commitment forms and payment request management

System and Processes

  • Work closely with PR agencies and media for product pitching and story-telling
  • Maintain close relationships with key media, partners, blogger, KOLs and snearkerhead commuity
  • Work closely with China and global to leverage resources and adapt to Hong Kong needs
  • Work closely with media and creative agencies for media plan and assets development
  • Provide full support in the execution of ATL campaign and advertorials
  • Assist in event organization and retail activation
  • Manage media monitoring proceduce and clipping reports
  • Explore and assist in sponsorship of event, concerts, movies, etc
  • Explore any new creative media opportunities
  • Assist in ad-hoc media enquiries
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or Department heads 

Requirements: 

  • 1-2 years experience in the marketing department of a global consumer goods brand, PR or advertising agency serving global consumer goods brands
  • Fresh graduate will also be considered as Brand Communications Assistant
  • University Degree in marketing/ communications or related field is needed
  • Good knowledge and strong interest in sports/ street fashion and trends 
  • A fashion enthusiast
  • A passion for and an understanding of sports
  • Effective communication skills

  • Strong numeric analytical skills

  • Pressure management
  • Proficient in MS applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese
