Role Purpose:

ASW has invested in standardized warehouse systems and processes to improve logistic competence across our business units globally. These aim to bring about increased profitability through distribution efficiencies and the application of best practice. Now that implementation of these systems is widespread it is necessary to review operational compliance and provide BU support to ensure that full benefits are returned from this investment.

A typical day in this Role:

  • Assist Group Supply Chain & Group IT teams to provide operational & system training & support to A.S. Watson business Units.
  • Provide project and training support to the Group teams during implementation of Group Supply Solutions across Asia, thus reducing the dependency upon ad-hoc support from other BUs & vendors
  • Assist to reinforce best practice and compliance to Retail Operation standards in the areas of Supply Chain and Logistics
  • Assist in formulating & documenting Supply Chain best practice in conjunction with Group Supply Chain Team
  • Follow up on poor performing businesses with regards to benchmarked regional KPIs and assist to make improvements through process reviews, retraining and reinforcement of best practice
  • Maintain issue logs of all Supply Chain initiatives across Asia to ensure status of deployments, change requests and application suite updates are recorded and that all priority areas are being addressed

What we look for:

  • Educated to degree level in a discipline such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Operation Management or a similar scientific based major.
  • 2-3 years experience with a Supply Chain specialist, Logistics provider or an FMCG organization
  • Experience with eCommerce operations & fulfillment is an advantage
  • Past experience of business analysis, project management, developing & conducting staff training is a plus
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English and be able to prepare documentation, make presentations and conduct training in this language. The ability to do the same in Mandarin would be beneficial
  • A self-assured and confident personality is required with traits of perseverance and tenacity
  • Required to be proactive, self-disciplined and be able to work under remote supervision
  • Must be prepared to travel around Asia and China on a regular basis

Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Supply Chain Officer.
