Reporting to the President, the appointee will provide a high level of professional and administrative support to the President in his major responsibilities including the policies and guidelines, subject papers, major requests as well as documentations from various offices, President’s messages and speeches, minutes of meetings chaired by the President, Senior Management reports to the Council, collaborative academic agreements, etc. and handling all incoming mail or email correspondences including drafting replies, formulating appropriate responses, directing to relevant parties for follow up and coordination with relevant offices on any matters arising. He/She will provide secretarial and executive support to Senior Management Committee including preparation of papers, agenda and minutes, and monitoring of the follow-up actions following the discussion/decisions made by Senior Management Committee. Other duties include planning and organizing internal and social activities for the President and making recommendation to the President on taking up the external invitations and supervising officer(s) in the daily management of the Office, discreet handling of confidential documents and other related duties as assigned. The appointee is expected to collaborate closely with various administrative offices and academic units in discharging the responsibilities.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience of providing support to senior individuals in large and complex organizations, be able to develop solutions to complex problems with good judgement and sensitivity; have proven experience in administration, management, committee work and supervision of staff; have excellent command of English and Chinese Languages and interpersonal skills, organization and communication skills; have the ability to work independently under tight timeline; be meticulous, highly self-motivated and have a strong sense of responsibility. Higher degree in the Public / Business sector administration would be advantageous.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract for a period of not less than 2 – 3 years with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits, and where applicable, housing benefits.
