  About the role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and enthusiastic event professional to join our team in Hong Kong working in-house within a 5 star venue.

As the Assistant Venue Director you will be responsible for ensuring strong relationship exists between our onsite venue team and clients including our partnered venue.

To excel in this role, you will require excellent communication and successful track record in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Being 2nd in charge of the business unit, you will be working closely with the Venue Director in below areas:

  • Promote Encore Event Technologies service range to the partnered venue and our clients
  • Manage the daily event operations, logistics and profitability of the business unit
  • Leading the onsite team and driving business development of new and existing clients
  • Ensuring strong relationship exists between on site venue team and clients
  • Ensure effective and safe running of event staging services within the venue
  • Provide effective work schedule for event technicians
  • Coordinate event set up and break down on site when required

About you:

  • Degree qualified in hospitality or events
  • Previous experience in events is essential; proven track record of a successful event management career
  • Energy, passion and self-motivation, can do attitude are words to best describe you
  • You are driven by delivering a first class customer service to every client
  • Good understanding and knowledge of audio visual equipment and hybrid event technologies and services
  • Customer centric and ability to build strong and long lasting customer relationship. Previous experience in serving high end client is highly regarded
  • Strong communication skill (verbal and written) in Cantonese/ Traditional Chinese and English, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent planning, organisational, time management and account management skills
  • Previous experience in people management is highly regarded
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills
  • Rostering and cost management experience
  • Strong ability to juggle multiple, competing deadlines
  • Great problem solving skills and negotiation skills
  • The right to work in Hong Kong is required
