Position Description

The Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) & Derivative Core Operations (FDCO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses.

Within FDCO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations.

We are seeking a dynamic candidate who is quantitative, analytical, proactive, a team player, able to work under pressure and to tight time constraints and has excellent attention to detail. This position requires daily liaison with many different groups across the organization and so, candidates must have a high level of communication and interpersonal skills.

The candidate must demonstrate maturity, sense of urgency and have a good understanding in the derivatives sales and trading flows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all trades are accurately booked and resolve all associated operational queries. This includes trade reconciliations, coordination with settlements teams, Regional Sales and Finance teams
  • Timely response to client queries regarding the settlement of their trade
  • Report generation; breaks investigation and resolution
  • Manage Euroclear Recalls and avoid buy-in due to failure to deliver
  • Liaising with other internal departments to ensure timely resolution to feeding and other risk issues
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects for new processes or initiatives
  • Supervise the overall trade control activities on bonds

Key Requirements

Essential Education:
  • Degree qualification is essential
  • Bloomberg experience
  • Fluent English
Essential Experience/Technical Knowledge(preferable):
  • Proficiency in MS Product Suite i.e. Excel, Word etc.
  • VBA & SQL programming skills optional
