Assistant Vice President, Compliance (Project & System Management)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Project & System Management Team to plan, monitor and execute day-to-day operations of system-related projects, maintenance works and reviews participated, sponsored or led by AML Compliance Department
  • Manage the team to carry out project manager and/ or business analyst functions in liaison with other internal stakeholders for ensuring of the adequacy and properness of development, maintenance and ongoing enhancement processes, or participating in such, including but not limited to user requirement specifications, functional specifications, user acceptance test requirements, system & workflow designs and enhancements, overall end-to-end implementations and change managements
  • Ensure smooth execution of projects and seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders as well as third party service providers or vendors
  • Support development, review, validation and enhancement of AML/CFT-related systems
  • Conduct regular or ad-hoc testing, reviews and tuning on AML/CFT-related systems including screening system and transaction monitoring system
  • Perform regular or ad-hoc reconciliation on the sanctions and PEP database of screening system
  • Provide advisory support to the review, tuning and validation of AML/CFT-related systems of overseas operations as and when necessary
  • Provide project updates to internal stakeholders
  • Handle ad-hoc projects or tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in information technology, computer science, project management, risk management, statistics, finance or related disciplines
  • Holder of well-recognized project management, programming and other information technology-related qualifications as well as ECF on AML/CFT certification are preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of project management, information technology and compliance experience in banking industry, with exposure to banking operations of United States, United Kingdom and Mainland China being an advantage
  • Familiar with WorldCheck database, Fircosoft screening and SAS transaction monitoring systems
  • Responsible and detail-minded with good problem solving, analytical, writing and communication skills
  • Knowledge in programming skills considered as an advantage
  • Be able to work as an individual and as part of a team
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
