Assistant Vice President - Credit Risk & Compliance (Retail Finance and Credit Card Department)

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Bank’s risk, operational and frontline departments to execute proper credit risk management of retail loan products
  • Ensure the standards and quality of the credit assessments prepared by credit underwriter are adhered to the Bank’s credit policies and regulatory requirements
  • Assess credit proposals within his authority delegated in accordance with the Bank’s credit policies and regulatory requirements
  • Assist Team Head to maintain credit policy of retail lending products and ensure proper credit risk mitigation measures are in place and will be duly executed
  • Keep abreast of prevailing market developments, industry knowledge, the Bank’s policies / guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Provide coaching to the subordinates

Requirements:

  • Degreeholder, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting or other relevant disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant working experience
  • Good knowledge in credit risk management and credit analysis relating to retail and private banking products such as mortgage loan, insurance policy financing, funds, structure products
  • Good writing skills and people management skills
  • Strong self-motivation with good business sense, risk management and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is an advantage
