Assistant Vice President (Finance and Accounts)


who, under the supervision of a Vice President and/or Senior Vice President will have responsibility for a portfolio of clients and be required to prepare management accounts and financial statements, ensuring all tax filings, regulatory and ad-hoc reporting is completed in accordance with regulatory and deal requirements.The role also includes cash management and control, financial planning, analysis and budgets. The portfolio will comprise a variety of investment funds, private equity funds, hedge funds and special purpose vehicles (“SPVs") including companies, LLCS, partnerships and trusts.


He/she will be required to deliver high levels of client service, while ensuring that each relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures. Ability to meet strict deadlines is a must. Overtime may be required.  


The duties include ongoing liaison with auditors, investment bankers, lawyers, investment managers, custodians, fund administrators, directors, trustees and other transaction parties.


The successful candidate will hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA), ideally gained in financial services; a strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, financial and regulatory reporting requirements. Prior experience in a similar role would be an advantage.


Candidates from a Big 4 background with exposure to financial services or qualified accountants working in the tax departments of Big 4 firms will also be strongly considered.


The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English and fluency in Mandarin would be an asset.


The level of experience and qualifications will determine what level the candidate will be considered for.
