Assistant Vice President/ Manager, Credit Appraisal (Corp/Commercial - HK & China)

  • Analyse and review complex and sizeable loans in HK and the Mainland to ensure that they adhere to existing policy guidelines
  • Liaise with business units to resolve credit issues and expedite the process
  • Assist in collecting market intelligence through various channels
  • Prepare various MIS reports for the management's review
  • Ensure credit facilities adhere to the Bank's internal credit policies/guidelines as well as external regulatory requirements
  • Conduct site visits for customers in China


  • Degree holder in Finance, Risk Management or related disciplines.  Professional qualifications, such as CFA, CPA, ECF-CRM, etc., are preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in credit approval for both HK and China SME and Corporates
  • Sound knowledge in lending and hedging products
  • Good understanding of market practice and banking regulations in HK and China
  • Self-motivated and detail-minded with strong risk control senses and analytical skills
  • Strong in written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is preferable
  • Travelling to China for site visits is occasionally required
