Assistant Vice President - Purchasing

Our client is a Fortune 500 conglomerate. To cope with the business development, they are seeking for a high calibers to join their companies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage & ensure smooth running of procurement functions.
  • Achieve cost, quality and delivery targets in purchase of goods and services.
  • Adhere to the department policies comprising all purchasing activities.
  • Review purchasing contracts/ agreements related to all forms of goods and services. .
  • Monitor & control departmental budget.
  • Attend management/ operations meeting and hold communication meetings within the department.
  • Conduct site visits with users to evaluate suppliers’ credibility standing, hygiene and products recommendation.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Purchasing, Material Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum8 years’ related working experience with increasing responsibility in Purchasing for Cruise Line, Hotel or similar industries.
  • Associated with a professional body.
  • Proactive, initiative, result-oriented.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage.
  • Candidate with less experience may be considered as Senior Manager.
