The Role Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the vision, strategy, direction and leadership for the HK CFCC team, consistent with the vision and strategy for CFCC and in support of the Group’s strategic direction and growth aspirations.
  • Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role


  • Provide CDD advisory and assessment (including PEP assessment) to Business on high-risk clients CDD PRR/TRR review, and ad hoc request where required.
  • Provide CFCC advisory in client level to business in relations to FCC matters including ML/TF/Sanctions/ABC/Tax Evasion/Fraud.
  • Review and advise on customer complaints and liaise with regulators as necessary
  • Monitor & track the status of all outstanding CDD advisory cases referred by Business.
  • Review CRA/ORA for new/revised product launching.


  • Assist Line Manager to review relevant policies/processes/DOIs to address financial crime risks, aligning with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Assist Line Manager Providing governance and oversight over the implementation of CFCC-related policies and procedures in Hong Kong retail banking and commercial banking to ensure compliance with such policies and procedures.

Risk Management

  • Assess risks arising from products / segments / geographies / customers / transactions.
  • Undertake enhanced due diligence on new and existing higher risk /sensitive clients such as PEPs or those associated with high risk industries or countries.

Project/Change Management

  • Participate in business project and review any new business requirements by providing FCC advisory whrre required.

Key Stakeholders

  • Retail Banking teams, Client Onboarding Team, FCC Controls and GPSCU.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 2 years of work experience in the areas of FCC
  • A recognised university degree or professional qualification in Law / Finance / Accounting / Business or related disciplines
  • Sound knowledge of AML/CFT, and regulations and statutory requirements of Hong Kong Monetary Authority / Insurance Authority / Securities and Futures Commission and/or other regulatory bodies
  • Effective communications skills (written and spoken)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Good judgement
  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Personal authority, integrity and ethics
