Officer of the Comptroller
Reporting to the Comptroller, the Associate Comptroller is responsible for supervising the operations in accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, revenue and treasury management. He/She is expected to play a key role in the financial planning and reporting of the University, and to develop strategies, processes and systems to support the strategic development of the University. He/She will also need to participate and provide support to the major committees of the University.
(i) A recognized Degree in Accounting or Finance;
(ii) A member of HKICPA/ACCA or other relevant professional bodies;
(iii) Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 10 years in a management position with the ability to carry out a wide spectrum of accounting duties and systems development, and preferably is working or have worked for a considerable period of time in the higher education sector in Hong Kong;
(iv) Strong analytical and quantitative skills;
(v) Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese; and
(vi) Excellent IT skills with knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
The commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
