Associate Consultant, Advanced Materials Processing - Industry 4.0 & Additive Manufacturing

Job Duties:

  • Implement consultancy & research projects on diffusion bonding, 3D metal printing and metal powder injection moulding
  • Serve as a key member to support Team Head to manage R&D projects
  • Conduct literature review and formulate ideas on technology development and dissemination
  • Identify business opportunity with clients and technology partners
  • Prepare R&D project proposals related to advanced manufacturing technology
  • Prepare article for technology promotion
  • Coach Engineering Officer and Assistant Engineering Officer for service delivery
  • Travel to Mainland China and overseas occasionally for project implementation and new technology study

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master/Doctorate Degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Materials Science/Physics
  • At least 3 years' solid hands-on and post-degree experience in technology research and development, preferably related to advanced manufacturing technology
  • Skill in computer programming with high level language, CAD/CAM/CAE as well as data analytics an advantage
  • Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, communication, presentation and consultative skills and able to work independently
  • Mature, self-motivated, confident and able to work under pressure
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua

The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
