An experienced Agile Business Analyst is required to ensure the vision and values defined by the Product Owner is effectively analyzed, shaped, and translated to the agile squads to deliver. This role will also help to promote the agile way of working and support the Product Owner to make the right decisions on defining the features backlog, the MVP scope, and the Sprint approach
Qualifications
University graduate, preferably in Business or IT disciplines
More than 7 years solid experience in managing/consulting in large scale projects as Agile Business Analyst or Product Owner
Broad knowledge of financial services &/or insurance industry desirable
Self-organized and experience in leading agile squads and articulate feature backlogs between stakeholders and team members
Excellent communication skills and able to recognize and priorities business values
Strong business analysis and cross functional knowledge
Fluent in English
Responsibilities
Recognize the business needs - Holds discussions with stakeholders to understand their requirements and their vision of the product. This is then translated into business needs and communicated to the agile team members to make them understand the expectations of the project.
Analyst the business domain - Analyze the whole system in detail, from the first iteration to the release phase of the project. Need to work closely with the development team to understand the initial requirement of the project, the scope of the project, and identify automation areas of the project.
Stock and Groom the Product Catalog - Stocking the product backlog refers to establishing user stories that represent the overall scope of the project. Helps the product owner establish user stories from the requirement models created during business analysis. Grooming the product backlog refers to maintaining the product backlog so that it does not become a burden on the product owner and the team. Considering purpose, organizing, and prioritizing user stories, and splitting epics into user stories.
Helps the team to get a better grasp of the project and where it fits within the organizational strategy. This can be done by facilitating a number of discussions such as: (1) What business processes should be created, eliminated, or revised? (2) What stakeholders are involved in the project? (3) What information should be tracked? (4) What policies and rules should be followed that affect business behavior and decisions?
