Role Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Actively originating lending deals by providing client-centric lending solutions to the Private Banking, GCNA clients. As the first line of defence, to ensure sufficient risk management.
  • To enhance the understanding of lending by actively engaging with RMs and clients and market our lending products.
  • Contribute to the team and overall PvB budget by actively closing new lending deals expeditiously.
  • Implement lending strategies as outlined by the Head of LST, which tailored for the uniqueness of each geography and in particular, GCNA segment

Business

  • Work closely with Head of LST (GCNA), Regional Head (for GCNA), and Market Heads (GCNA) of the Private Bank to build lending pipeline and to grow the loan book.
  • Ensure timely turnaround in tasks on-hand including enquiries from RMs and clients, ongoing reviews of existing accounts

Governance

  • Ensure that systems and controls are adequate and in compliance with Group and Business policies, procedures, standards and codes, including those governing all Risk types, Compliance, Operational Risk, Technology and Operations, Finance and Reputation
  • Adherence to the following Regulatory Compliance policies and processes (both on-shore & offshore, as is applicable) including but not limited to Treating Customers Fairly, Suitability, KYC, AML, CDD, AOD, AML, sanctions laws and terrorist financing, regulations, rules and standard business practices.
  • Ensure adherence with the highest standards of ethics and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support the team in annual renewal cases / reviews
  • Training / guiding junior associates

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 5-7 years of direct banking experience.
  • To originate, structure and execute financing solutions against acceptable collateral (Marketable Securities, Real Estate, Funds and Alternative Investments, Structured Products, FX and other derivatives) for large Wealth Management clients.
  • This is a client facing role and requires the candidate to drive a transaction from start-to-end via collaboration with frontline, support functions and other business partners in order to deliver One Bank and effective client solutions.
  • Well versed in company financial analysis (technical and fundamental) as well as assessment of bespoke financing cases.
  • Good understanding of credit process and policies, internal and external financial information systems, legal/regulatory is critical. Thorough knowledge of capital markets and derivatives products is important.
  • Prepare appropriate client proposals, pitchbooks and credit proposals for new deals and renewals.
  • Spearhead on identified projects to spearhead lending initiatives.
  • Support the delivery of the Private Bank business’ short and longer-term objectives.
