Job Description:

Reporting to Chief Client & Marketing Officer, this role is to lead and develop the Product Marketing & Communications (PMC) function for Life & Health business. Devise effective client communication & marketing strategy, drive implement to support product launch and business growth including product marketing material, product customer communications in via all marketing channels (ATL, BTL, Digital, event etc). Lead the PMC team to produce dynamic, compelling and consistent high quality marketing programs and materials.

Marketing planning

  • Lead the formulation and implementation of product marketing strategies and initiatives for Life & Health products.
  • Ensure alignment within Client & Marketing teams, within Life & Health division (including Product, Pricing, Operation, Market Intelligence & Solutions), and also among distribution channels (agencies and brokers)
  • Recommend the best mix of marketing channel deployment to maximize marketing impact and optimize cost
  • Manage marketing budget and expense effectively. Adhere to company procurement guideline
  • Conduct market comparison to identify and highlight our product edges vs competition
  • Obtain feedback from frontline and clients in search of improvement opportunities to better shape future product marketing strategy
  • Constantly review and enhance the marketing material process to streamline workflow for efficiency

Product Marketing implementation

  • Be the champion to lead end-to-end Product Marketing cycles (including Product Launch, Product Maintenance, Product Promotion, Corporate Actions, Product Branding - Market Insight & Sales Tools)
  • Identify and recommend various marketing tools / media (e.g. leaflet / flyer / video / online comparison platform, social media, etc) that could maximize product communication effect and support business sales
  • Lead development of product marketing, including brochures and other supporting material.
  • Develop product marketing launches, sales tools development, repackaging initiatives, product advertising and various channel communications.
  • Identify and source the right vendors (e.g. agencies, product houses, designers, copywriters, etc) to support marketing communication execution with quality
  • Be the key focal point to work with Creative and Media Agencies to devise and implement ATL advertising campaign
  • Work closely with Legal and Compliance to ensure marketing communications comply with relevant regulations and rules.
  • Ensure accuracy of marketing output with careful proofing


  • Make sensible recommendation to prioritize team resources
  • Lead and enhance the performance and development of the Product Marketing team


  • Support regional marketing initiatives as required
  • Provide additional support to CCMO with various initiatives from time to time


  • Good understanding of Insurance Product feature and proposition
  • Hand-on experience in marketing communications
  • Able to prioritize resource and deliver quality output against defined timeline
  • Be a good communicator to manage different stakeholders
  • Creative mindset to articulate product features in client-friendly languages
  • Can convert concepts to practical business applications
  • Excellent project management and people management skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with all levels of staff, distributors and customers
  • Strong understanding of consumer attitudes & behaviour
  • Good knowledge of the operations and sales support processes
  • Attention to details
  • Good writing skills and proof-reading skill
  • Good spoken & written English and Cantonese skills
  • Thinks outside the box – doesn’t just copy old ideas

  • Works to strict deadlines, be able to make timely and effective escalation when needed

Education and experience

  • University degree related to areas such as marketing, business administration, economics, and finance.
  • At least 8 years related experience in marketing in the financial services sector, preferably in insurance or banking industry
