Associate Director, Training and Development (Partnership Distribution)


Position Objective:

Build professional, productive and sustainable sales platform for partners and channels through formulating training plans and strategies with the Channel Heads to provide quality training.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify the training needs of sales platform of partners and hence develop training programs and roadmap to better equip the sales team, including bankers, sellers, trainers and managers of partners, with professional knowledge and ethical selling skills.
  • Develop training strategies to supports partners’ short term and long term distribution initiatives.
  • Design the training materials and conduct the training for targeted audience.
  • Increase new producers’ activities and productivity by introducing “activity" elements in / or post-classroom training / follow up, supported by AE / Wholesalers.
  • Coordinate with Channel Heads to develop training and development plan for AE / Wholesalers to better equip the team with knowledge and skillset to perform.
  • Promote the “Protection" concepts to the sales platform to drive the sales of protection products fulfilling customers’ life stage insurance needs.
  • Coordinate with Company Training Division / external trainer for specific training support and programs and manage the effectiveness of such programs.
  • Be responsible for CPD course accreditation and arrangement supporting all channels
  • Develop long-term plans and strategies with the Supervisor and Department Head on training structure, organization, policies, programs, budget, staff development, services and practices in order to accomplish the Department mission / quality objectives.

Partner with the Supervisor in formulating annual business plan and be responsible and accountable for the implementation of such

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University graduate with minimum of 10 years relevant working experience in the insurance industry and of which 5 years at managerial capacity
  • Knowledge and understanding on the multi-channel distribution platform, business nature, management structure and insurance business environment
  • Good training sense in terms of course development, design and evaluation
  • Good presentation, communications, and facilitation skills
  • Proficient in written & spoken English
  • Proactive, initiative and risk-taking
  • Analytical and decision making
