The Project Management Department (PMD) of Market Development is the team with a broad remit in architecting, driving and delivering cutting-edge business and technology solutions for HKEX Group. The team is working closely with business functions, IT, and Innovation Lab at HKEX and external business partners to identify opportunities with great potential, turn opportunities into projects or products, and oversee the delivery of the portfolio.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform project portfolio management to help identify, initialize, prioritise, track, report and deliver strategic projects across the whole HKEX Group
  • Drive project management/control/governance disciplines and continue to improve portfolio management processes, standards and tools; understand and promote best practice across the organisation
  • Conduct project portfolio analysis and evaluate, monitor and mitigate project portfolio risk
  • Provide regular project portfolio report and advise PMD management; communicate and present portfolio status to key stakeholders and group executives
  • Manage and deliver specific project in the capacity of PM/BA as required and work with cross-departmental/divisional stakeholders and team members.
  • Key tasks include:
    • Collaborate with project managers and project teams across the organisation to ensure that the accountability in project planning, initiation, execution and delivery
    • Analyse and track project portfolio status and provide regular update to the Project Portfolio Board and Management Committee in decision-making by performing data gathering, analysis, and report producing
    • Develop, enhance and maintain the project and portfolio management processes and procedures
    • Provide operational support to answer any project portfolio management related enquiries from other divisions

Job Requirements
  • University degree holder or above
  • At least 3-year experience in financial or TMT industry in project management office/project manager/business analyst role; Enterprise PMO or COO Office or consulting experience as plus
  • Having track record of, in BA/PM capacity, managing and delivering projects with material business benefits; good analytical and process-oriented mindset and problem-solving skills;
  • Good understandings in the financial market, technology platform and the latest trend
  • Strong business presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint); skills in data visualisation tool (e.g. Tableau) as plus
  • Excellent communicator; Strong team player and motivator in high pressure situations; Capable to work effectively and efficiently with team members across all kinds of background and adaptive to fast-changing work environment
  • Practitioner of SDLC methodology; Professional project management certification (e.g. PMI, Agile, Prince2, etc.) not mandatory but an advantage
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
