Community Business is a not-for-profit organisation (Hong Kong Charity Number 91/6560) whose mission is to lead, inspire and support businesses to have a positive impact on people and communities.  Recognised as a thought leader in advancing responsible and inclusive business in Asia, we are looking for an Associate to provide key support to our Research and Training and Consulting.  This is a role ideally suited for a professional who is self-motivated and passionate about impacting positive changes. 

Key Responsibilities

This is a full-time role reporting to Programme Manager, Diversity and Inclusion, as well as Senior Manager, Programmes and Development. This role will include, but not be limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the implementation of the strategy for Community Business’ pioneering research, and programmes, which includes:
    • conducting background research, providing administrative support to research and analysis process, and proposing ideas;
    • contributing to preparation of training materials;
    • providing administrative support to Senior Manager, Programmes and Development.
  • Executing the research for programmes and campaigns, as well as for training and presentation materials, which includes:
    • supporting the delivery of research launches, media briefings, events, workshops and seminars;
    • drafting newsletters and communications;
    • preparing content for training and consulting etc.
  • Working with Marketing & Communications Team to develop deliverables and communications to support the effective implementation of our research and training and consulting.
  • Project managing the development and publication of research and training and consulting.

Selection Criteria

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Degree holder or equivalent, preferably in a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation – with fluent English and Chinese language capabilities.  Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Passion for the subject of responsible and inclusive business practices and interest in issues relating to diversity and inclusion.
  • Excellent organisational, project and event management skills, with the ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and different priorities concurrently.
  • Analytic and can work with data for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Self-motivated, with ability to work independently under time pressure as well as a strong team player.
  • Has a critical mind, thinks creatively and has good problem-solving skills.
  • Possess an interest and ability to adapt to different situations and enjoy working in a dynamic, stimulating and fast-moving environment.
  • Confidence and an interest to develop skills in meeting new people and communicate as well as interact with key stakeholders.
  • A strong attention to detail - experience with proofreading and reviewing would be an advantage. 
  • Experience of research, public speaking and delivering presentations would be an advantage.
  • High degree of proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and similar platforms.


Salary will be commensurate with the relevant experience of the successful candidate.
