Assurance and Testing Manager – Vice President

Overview

The role was created to assist the AT team to perform a programme of risk based testing to identify opportunities for improvement to the processes, systems and controls operated across the functions within CRegO. The role reports into the Regional AT Manager. The applicant will need to have experience of risk management, process and controls testing; and performing global reviews across a large banking group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specifically, the AT Manager will carry out the following responsibilities:
  • Assist the Regional AT Manager with the co-ordination of the annual SQA programme of work
  • Work with the Regional AT Manager to understand the prioritization of the programme globally
  • Perform testing of the control environment, key processes and systems operated by Compliance, AFC or Regulation and report any issues / gaps to Senior Management
  • Engage with stakeholders from across CRegO to perform testing including reporting and validation of identified issues
  • Perform ad hoc consultancy style work as required by Senior Compliance Management
  • Escalate and report material gaps to the Regional AT Manager
  • Work with the AT team to produce timely and accurate MI for senior management

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • An in depth understanding of the regulatory landscape within the global financial services industry and practical experience of working in a regulatory environment (Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime, Risk, Audit etc.)
  • Testing controls that mitigate Anti-Financial Crime and/or Compliance Risks
  • Experience applying internal audit or equivalent testing methodologies including risk based testing
  • A pragmatic and flexible approach is required to operate in a Deutsche Bank’s constantly changing environment
  • The applicant must be analytical, proactive and have a structured and organised approach. Attention to detail is critical to ensure that high quality deliverables are produced
  • A team player that is always looking to improve and provide support to teammates
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills proven through experience of MI reports and statistics delivered to senior management
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Word, Visio, PowerPoint
