Responsibilities

  • Lead, structure, negotiate and execute corporate asset loan and financing transactions, and continue to monitor and review loan portfolios post-completion.
  • Prepare business case, information memorandum, and board papers to support the loan and financing transaction.
  • Provide corporate finance support to business functions and operating units in structuring, negotiating, and executing investment opportunities, fund-raising, and asset monetization initiatives.
  • Perform financial analysis of existing and target assets, loan portfolios, ventures, prepare the necessary management, board papers, and actively involved in the process from evaluation, execution through to completion of the transaction.
  • Ensure due compliance with the Company's policies and procedures in carrying out responsibilities and executing transactions.
  • Update, refine policies, procedures, and guidelines in relation to financing and investments of the Company based on industry best practice.
  • Lead on financial analysis and modeling work and the review of corporate funding and capital structure aspects of the Company and its affiliates including debt covenant compliance and updating of financial models and projections.
  • Identify and implement new financing opportunities, refinancing of existing facilities to optimize the cost of capital at the Company and project level in accordance with the overall direction, strategy, and business objectives.
  • Review commercial and financial aspects of business proposals and agreements in relation to transactions and come up with proposed recommendations.
  • Lead in the performance review of business divisions and operating units in conjunction with overall Company objectives and set key performance indicators. Conduct benchmarking review of key performance indicators against industry and best practices.
  • Coordinate with management and other business functions and supervise junior team members in coming up with investment, financing, corporate finance proposals, and executing transactions.
  • Liaise with external parties including regulatory bodies, external consultants, advisers, investors, and business partners.

Requirements

  • Related degree and professional qualification in Accountancy, Corporate Finance or Banking with over 6 years of related experience in investment banking, corporate finance advisory, investment buy-side, or a corporate finance department in listed corporations.
  • CFA, ICAEW, CPA, and MBA qualifications would be an advantage.
  • Ability to lead transactions and provide overall guidance to subordinates to ensure quality work and deliverables are produced according to stipulated timelines and objectives.
  • Solid technical and financial skills including financial modeling, numerical, analytical, and good commercial sense.
  • Ability to review financial, commercial aspects of legal documentation and negotiate points with the counterparty.
  • Familiar with structuring, negotiating, and executing loan financing, equity and debt capital markets in shipbuilding, the cruise industry and asset, vessel financing, finance lease.
  • Ability to multi-task when required and work well in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to travel on assignments on a periodic basis or at short notice and work under time pressure.
