AVP, Training and Career Development (Large Size Organization)

Our client is a large size organization in the entertainment space. They are currently seeking for a AVP, Training and Career Development professional. This incumbent will oversee training & career planning team within Corporate HR with a primary focus to develop training & development strategies and initiatives, as well to act as a business partner to drive related outcomes and results.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely under HR Leadership to shape the talent agenda/ training suites and make associated talent decisions that align with the business strategy, customize and contribute to the design/ development of global solutions in line with company objectives and ensure successful implementation on the roll out of the training/ talent programs;
  • Partner with and coach team managers to identify top talents within the organization and differentiate their development, creating a deep pipeline of talent;
  • Collaborate with respective Divisions to identify training needs, competency gaps, and to design and develop appropriate solutions to enhance the capabilities to strengthen the talent bench;
  • Partner with HR leadership on implementation and enhancement for Performance Management and Talent Reviews over the year, drive talent progression and senior leader transitions;
  • Continually evaluate, assess and enhance the effectiveness of training solutions
  • Evaluate and report long term impact metrics, identify implications and trends relevant to strategic decisions/ future learning & development actions for the organization
  • Conduct employee Familiarization, Orientation and Employee Induction
  • Handle adhoc responsibilities as assigned by manager.


Requirements

  • Masters in Human Resources Management, Organization Development;
  • Experience working in a large size organization
  • Minimum 10 years in Organization Development, Talent Development, Leadership Development or Executive Coaching;
  • Strong presentation skills and capable of managing executive presence effectively;
  • Excellent stakeholding and negotiation with good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong communicator both in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin);
  • Occasional travels may be required.
