HOST – Business Services - Banking Operations (Global / Commercial Banking)

Hang Seng's Business Services is a team of experienced banking operations professionals who strive for delivering time-to-market, efficient and world-class processing services to customers, corporations, financial institutions and internal units. In Banking Operations, we support account opening, customer due diligence services and ongoing account maintenance.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Banking Operations Manager.

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Oversight on Commercial Banking (CMB) account opening, account servicing and tax utility activity
  • Lead a team of Banking Operations professionals to ensure that HASE complies with the regulatory requirement and Group’s Global Standards
  • Collaborate closely with Line of Business, Commercial Banking (CMB) and Global Business & Market (GBM), as well as other relevant stakeholders such as Financial Crime Compliance (FCC),  Business Risk & Control (BRCM), Regional CDD Ops and AMH CDD Ops, to run a leading Banking Operations function
  • Manage and monitor the performance of off-shore teams, and act as the focal point for information sharing and clarification among Line of Business, FCC, regional office and off-shore team
  • Streamline operations process flow for servicing and processing excellence so that the team is running in a resources-optimised and effective manner
  • Is accountable for the effective use of controls to ensure operational risk is within agreed standards and meeting business/regulatory requirements


Requirements

  • University graduates in related discipline
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in Banking Operations, Know Your Customers (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processing and operation management
  • Good knowledge of anti-money laundering, customer onboarding and account servicing for corporate customers
  • Strong self-motivation with excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua an advantage
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Able to work in tight timeline and under pressure
