Key responsibilities

The role will report to the Hong Kong Finance Manager. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Billing

  • Handling billings during each month end
  • Maintaining client and matter information data and related financial results
  • Managing special rates applied to all matters
  • Monitoring volume discount for certain clients

Management Accounts

  • Assisting Finance Manager during month end relating to reporting deliverables (including

preparation of management accounts, actual vs budget analysis etc.)

  • Handling long aged client's money, work in progress of fees and disbursements
  • Handling full set of accounts of a dormant company of the firm
  • Assisting with annual budget and forecasting
  • Assisting with the annual audit and tax review
  • Assisting with ad hoc requests for data / financial analysis from partners and internal client

stakeholders

Candidate Profile

This role will suit someone who enjoys working in fast-paced environment; managing and prioritising their

own workload and deadlines for multiple stakeholders, at the same time as leading a team and engaging

others.

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following attributes and skills:

  • University graduate preferably in a Financial related discipline
  • 1-year experience in billing and management accounting
  • Law firm experience is preferable but not necessary
  • Keen to learn new things
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Highly analytical and with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to simplify complex financial information so that this can be effectively communicated
