Business Analyst, Global Workflow Re-engineering

A global-leading bank is actively looking for a Senior Business Analyst to handle Global Mortgage System Process Re-engineering project. You will be under Retail Banking Wealth Management Department, IT team, responsible for liaising with global stakeholders to ensure the smooth operaitions of project.


  • Engage new countries to understand their operating models and perform a GAP analysis against global requirements
  • Working with the global RBWM, Risk and Mortgage Business Services teams to define a global solution
  • Support the planning and socialisation of new product or feature releases into markets. Elicit, analyse, validate, and prioritise business and / or system requirements in user stories for Scrum teams
  • Perform business analysis by understanding the link between changes in systems and business processes to costs and benefits
  • Capture requirements for new, or updates to, messaging tools, capabilities, processes or features
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop and align efficient engagement processes for messaging requirements and channel development activities
  • Work with both the Global Business Teams, Market Product Analysts & Technical teams in shaping and maintaining the high level MPO Product design, its components and features
  • Support activities around the planning and composition of the various Global Releases.
  • Work with the architecture team to ensure they have defined a clear technical backlog.
  • Supporting Scrum BA’s and ensuring the adherence of the build to the global design principles. Ensure that internal Sprint demoes happen
  • Review party to planned new solutions where there is a concern around Global versus Local build
  • Work with the Transformation Manager to understand the impact of new requirements, put a cost and timeline impact against each new requirement. Work with the Project Manager to communicate the impact with a new revised release burndown and provide options for a business decision to mitigate risk


  • 10+ year experience working in the Agile methodology and the use of JIRA and Confluence
  • Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Solutions Analyst, Business Analyst
  • Ability to capture, analyse and prioritise requirements against competing business needs and requests
  • Experience working in relevant market / context, i.e. mortgages is desirable but not essential
  • A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Cantonese
  • The ability to understand and interpret straightforward financial data
  • Experience working in a Digital environment and delivering on a customer channel
  • Experience of IBM’s BPM solution for workflow & process modelling is advantageous
