Business Development Executive | Top-tier UK Law Firm | Dispute Resolution Team

Job Descriptions:

Business planning and implementation:

  • Support the implementation of the Hong Kong Dispute Resolution practice's strategic business development plan
  • Attend regular practice group meetings to provide updates on key BD activity and provide guidance to partners and associates on future BD initiatives
  • Help drive firm-wide or regional BD initiatives within the Hong Kong Dispute Resolution team as appropriate, working closely with the wider regional and global BD teams

Pitches, proposals and tender submissions:

  • Manage the preparation of pitches and proposals, working with partners and legal teams on pitch strategy and approach
  • Help develop strong key selling messages for the practice, to be deployed consistently in pitches and submissions
  • Monitor the updating and maintaining of pitch support material for the practice group including credentials, pitch templates and CVs

Client relationships:

  • Undertake research and analysis as required in relation to existing key clients and in order to identify new targets/opportunities
  • Support the firm's global Client Listening programme, including helping to identify opportunities to collect feedback

Reputation, brand and profile: 

  • Work with the Senior Communications Manager - Asia on all media and PR opportunities relating to the Dispute Resolution practice
  • Help prepare legal directory and award submissions for the practice groups as required
  • Liaise with lawyers on articles for external publications and with professional support lawyers/knowledge management on content for client materials 

Qualifications: 

  • Appropriate undergraduate/postgraduate degree qualification(s)
  • At least 4 years' relevant professional experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a broader team
  • Confidence in dealing with partners and senior stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload under pressure
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Proven ability to establish professional credibility
  • Excellent service delivery skills and high level of responsiveness
