Business Development Executive

Help drive the strategic growth of the Hong Kong business and increase the profitability of relationships across the company. The BD Executive will be responsible for identifying, developing and delivering sales activities with new clients in line with the company’s vision, values and strategy. Additionally he/she will be manage key accounts in Hong Kong. The incumbent will have autonomy to work independently to establish plans and strategies to expand the client base.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop relationships with some of the world’s leading companies, with aim of creating new long term partnerships and profitable sales opportunities
  • Sales pipeline development and management
  • Maximize business growth of assigned Key Accounts by formulating sales planning strategies
  • Develop close cross-functional working relationships with other teams/departments internally
  • Communicate necessary information to appropriate departments - including coordination of efforts between multiple departments
  • Liaising with the wider business to coordinate efforts across offices/regions in alignment with regional and company business strategy /objectives
  • Involved in executing activities that drive brand awareness, including networking events and thought leadership activities
  • Assist in compiling bids and capability statements for the Hong Kong office, drafting client specific and general BD documents where necessary
  • Keeping track of relevant contacts and ensuring data integrity in the CRM system

Candidate requirements:

  • Proven success in new business acquisition/development, and/or fast paced sales environment
  • Self-motivated, resilient individual contributor, able to work well as part of a larger team / cross functionally
  • Strong aptitude for business development, passionate about taking ownership for building your own portfolio and identifying new opportunities
  • Able to quickly develop rapport, understand audience needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Influential leader with strong negotiation skills
  • Articulate, with excellent verbal and written English ability to communicate effectively with a wide audience
  • Able to develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders at any level of the organisation
  • Analytical mind, good attention to detail and problem solving skills within a structured process
  • Good team player – works well in cross-functional teams
  • Good time management skills, with ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Growth mindset – able to challenge and see views from different perspectives, and believe that talents can be developed
