Business Development Manager, E-Commerce (Hong Kong/Sydney)

Our client is a global interdealer broker who provide a full range of trade execution and broker-dealer services. They have a new opening for an E-Commerce Business Development Manager, in this role you will drive the uptake of the firm’s electronic/e-trading products by working closely with the brokers to identify and assess business opportunities. Additionally, you will be involved in product development, product integration, training and marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the E-Commerce sales targets for your account base and follow the regional business plan
  • Work closely with other front office business lines to identify new E-Commerce opportunities
  • Prospect, develop and manage relationships with senior executives across buy and sell side
  • Use consultative methods to fully understand client’s business and identify growth opportunities
  • Build a pipeline and qualify prospects in order to develop meaningful relationships and revenue
  • Create and deliver complex, customized solutions that provide value to clients’ bottom line
  • Work with regional and global sales team to ensure all accounts are fully optimized
  • Work with the Product Development team to capture success and failures
  • Follow the latest trends and developments in global electronic trading/E-Commerce

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of e-commerce business experience with a major sell side firm, inter-dealer or vendor
  • Previous Credit/Rate and/or FX experience
  • Fluent communications in English (Mandarin or Cantonese is a definite advantage)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, client service oriented and resilient
  • Natural networker who can easily initiate, establish, and nurture meaningful business relationships
  • Flexible with ability to adapt to change in a highly dynamic work environment
  • Product-specific and market-specific knowledge including regulatory changes and implications
  • Familiarity with trade lifecycle workflows
  • Strong Microsoft Application knowledge (Excel, Power Point, Project)
