The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers

The Business Development Manager will play an important role in establishing and maintaining excellent client relationship and network to provide training consultancy service through training needs identification and training solutions offering.

He/she will also identify business opportunities and explore potential clients in order to achieve the target growth of the Institute.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and prepare business development plan to achieve annual target
  • Build and maintain  the good relationships with clients (bank and non-bank financial institutions), trainers, business partners, universities, professional associations and  any other key stakeholders
  • Explore and meet potential clients through various channels to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Conduct training needs analysis to identify suitable training solutions to clients for all Professional Qualification Programme and Continuing Development Programmes
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth and effective training service delivery
  • Conduct customer satisfaction survey and make recommendation for future business developments
  • Analyze business and financial data to generate regular reports for management review
  • Be familiar with current market conditions, identify new business trends and propose product enhancement initiatives by conducting relevant market research and analysis
  • Supervise a small team to drive and implement the business development plan

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder or above
  • Experience gain from Banking & Finance and/or Training & Development industry
  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience with 2 years in supervisory level
  • Holders of HKIB professional qualifications will be advantageous
  • Outstanding customer service and networking skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Be a pro-active, innovative, self-motivated &  good team player
  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint) & Chinese word processing
