Key Responsibilities:

Strategic and operational planning & execution

  • Support prioritization and planning of strategic initiatives
  • Monitor and follow-up execution of strategic initiatives and projects to ensure delivery as per plan
  • Support operational and budget planning for business and IT projects

Business transformation and change management

  • Support definition of change agenda and transformation plans
  • Support change, globalization and industrialization of processes
  • Provide change management guidance and support to the team
  • Ensure regular change agenda follow-up to ensure delivery

Project management & demand management  

  • Manage project portfolio owned by the role (business,  IT, data); manage projects delivery to implementation
  • Manage contributors, dependencies and risks to ensure successful delivery
  • Provide project management guidance and support to the team
  • Manage and control demand as well as project delivery/budgets

Technology and data

  • Execute roadmap for technology and data based on strategic priorities, efficiency targets and governance/compliance needs
  • Support integration of systems and automation of processes, as well as ability for staff to access business information timely
  • Support implementation of global platforms at local level
  • Manage IT delivery and vendors

Operational excellence & continuous improvement

  • Support continuous enhancement of processes and procedures to ensure provision of service excellence to clients and brokers
  • Drive and embed continuous improvement culture to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Foster sharing and adoption of best practice and tools

Stakeholder management

  • Manage engagement and relationships with key stakeholders and obtain their support and buy-in
  • Support prioritization of strategic initiatives and change agenda, and ensure they are planned into country plans/budgets
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with business partners to achieve growth and retention targets

Operational governance & compliance

  • Provide procedures for operational compliance and excellence
  • Integrate governance and compliance requirements into systems and processes
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, as well as to Group regulations, guidelines and rules
  • Report any compliance or risk management concerns

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree holder in business, IT, insurance or any related disciplines
  • Preferably PMP or Lean Six Sigma certified
  • At least three to five years of relevant experience in general insurance and reinsurance
  • Experience in underwriting, process management and services
  • Experience of at least three years in project management
  • Experience in managing vendors, IT and shared services
  • Hands-on experience in managing change (incl. reorganization and IT system implementation)
  • Demonstrable in-depth understanding of underwriting
  • Solid understanding of IT delivery and vendor management; strong experience in managing IT system rollout
  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Work independently and a team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
  • Able to thrive in a fast pace-setting
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
