CAD Designer / Furniture Designer

Job Description

        Furniture Designer:

• Design development for bespoke furniture projects in the high and commercial and residential industries
• Prepare feasibility studies, sketch proposals, scheme and detailed design information
• With excellent conceptual abilities, prepare and deliver presentations to clients
• Building strong relationships with customers

         CAD Designer - Interior Projects:        

• Interpret the design brief and give clear instructions to the drafting team in generating clear and accurate approval and production drawings to the highest standards
• Undertake site surveys when required to ensure space and products are designed to the correct size and specifications
• Supporting the dynamic teams in creating innovative interiors with being able to create the correct atmosphere is key to the role

To be successful in this role you will need the following qualities and skills

        Furniture Designer:

• Higher Diploma or equivalent in an furniture / industrial design relation discipline
• A minimum of 2 years experience within a similar role, based within furniture design and manufacturing 
• An extensive understanding of finishes, materials and structures, with a fantastic eyes for the finer details
• Ability to generate and communicate ideas from sketch work through to development
• AutoCAD proficient would be beneficial but is not essential

       CAD Designer:

• Higher Diploma or equivalent in an interior design relation discipline
• Be up to date and aware of the current trends within the industry
• Have substantial experience in space planning using AutoCAD for layouts, sketch up and 3Dmax for visuals
• Strong sense of responsibility for the provision of interior design services that meet client requirements
• A full understanding of Architectural detailing, interior fit-out and building services
• The ability to balance multi priorities whilst meeting deadline, strong comprehension with good communication skills
• At least some experience of commercial interiors and office furniture to pick the role and job up quickly
