Position Objectives:
  • To provide thoughtful guidance and support to the Regional D&C, location management and design consultants to arrive at well curated progressive work spaces that holistically incorporates
  • JPMCs workplace mission and standards
  • Business operational requirements
  • Project commercial and program objectives
  • To be a proactive, value add stakeholder and contributor to Global Design Team agenda and objectives
  • Keep up to date with emerging trends and insights with regards to workplace strategy, design and best practices, including sustainability and green building best practices
  • Delivering a work place environment that is safe, improves efficiency & productivity and enhances staff attraction and retention
  • Manage incoming and outgoing drawings of the contracted third party vendors and product suppliers, review of test-fits, plans and construction documents and contribute to the successful implementation of alternative design strategies.
Role and Responsibilities:

Workplace Design

  • Support Global Design head to develop in conjunction with external experts and internal stakeholders key workplace design principles and guidelines
  • Support maintenance and publishing of design, materials/finishes, furniture, accessibility guidelines/policies
  • Work with regional management and global design to reflect appropriately valid regional or country practices, regulations
  • Lead the design process in partnership with Regional D&C project management for all APAC projects to achieve the JPM workplace mission and guidelines, commercial objectives, technical & functional requirements, on time and within budget
  • Provide design support and guidance to project management by interfacing with the external design team and specialist consultants (acoustic, lighting, etc) to address and communicate design related issues
  • Understand the LOB business model and function to ensure design and planning is align to business objectives
  • Support the Regional GRE Mgt in LOB and Mgt presentations, engagements
  • Evaluate on a regular basis current and proposed workplace strategies, coordinating with internal partners to ensure that workplace solutions address changing business demands and align with workplace design and guidelines
  • Support the development of migration and phasing plans, stack and block plans, test-fits and collection and analysis of data related to the user requirements
 

 

Procurement
  • Support the D&C project manager and sourcing team in the design and specialist consultant procurement process including establishing scope of work, selection panel participation, etc
  • Provide advice to D&C project manager in the selection of finishes, furniture. materials, etc as recommended by design/specialist consultant from a JPM guideline, maintainability and budget perspective

Metrics/Processes

  • Establish database and metrics of actual space utilization, market trends and actively iterate design guidelines to enhance efficiency and design working with key stakeholders
  • Managing design reporting and communication processes; dashboard reporting. Progress reports, etc
  • Assist in defining and managing global interior project space planning metrics

Project Execution

  • Support the D&C project manager in the quality control, designer coordination, etc as required by the project management team
  • Support the development of migration and phasing plans, stack and block plans, test-fits and collection and analysis of data related to the user requirements
Qualifications:
  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design along with a successful track record of managing all phases of corporate interiors projects and leading multiple complex projects at the same time
  • 10 to 15 years of direct experience in commercial architecture, interior design, workplace planning and programming, building construction, life safety and building codes and; 2-3 years of global corporate real estate and/or financial services experience preferred
  • Experience with the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancy
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
  • Strong understanding of system furniture and components
  • Excellent working knowledge of the commercial furniture industry and related supply chain.
  • Applied knowledge of and skills in utilizing AutoCAD software. Additional knowledge of Revit, Sketch-up, Visio, InDesign is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and industry standard project management tools
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility on projects
  • Ability to provide excellent client service and assure project profitability
  • Strong programming, time management and space planning skills
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
