Centre Manager - Development and Management (The Open Lab)

Reporting to the Top Management of the company, the appointee will be required to:

  • Take a vital role in managing the project of setting up The Open Lab, a new satellite sustainability-focused laboratory in Hong Kong (https://www.theopenlab.one/);
  • Oversee all the activities involved and progress of work, ensuring an on-schedule and smooth commencement of the new lab;
  • Initiate, develop and coordinate program with internal and external partners (industry, academic, non-profits) to support strategic goals of the project;
  • Lead visiting tours, public presentations, coordinate marketing activities with marketing team and support PR effort related to the project; 
  • Manage and control the budget of the Open Lab development, program and operations;
  • Work closely with Research, Business Development and Marketing team to coordinate projects and new initiatives related the lab;
  • Manage day-to-day operation of the Open Lab and maintenance of the site;
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Marketing, Textile and Fashion, or related disciplines.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience in business and partnership development, project management related to sustainability, textiles or R&D. Experience in industrial, lab management or research institutes would be an advantage but not a must.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills with a strong sense of project ownership and proactive working attitude;
  • Independent, highly-organized and capable of working under pressure with multi-task assignments;
  • Conversant with government procedures and regulations is a plus and
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with good command of Putonghua being an advantage;
  • Applicants with less experience will be considered for junior positions
