The Division

The Customer and International Business Development Division (C&I) is responsible for providing quality wagering experience marketing, and CRM to local and overseas customers of the Hong Kong Jockey Club. The ultimate aim is to provide an impressive total customer experience leading to sustainable turnover growth in a responsible manner.

The Job

You will

  • Act as Project Manager and assist the management to manage the cross functional stakeholders relationships, project plan and implementation, etc
  • Manage consultants to deliver consumer research; develop and plan the format of new retail shop to deliver a total customer experience targeting specific customer segment; track project milestones and ensure the project is completed within budget and agreed timeline and all project commitments are met
  • Deliver the new retail shop as pilot and ensure success for subsequent roll-out according to plan within agreed budget; manage the operation of the new retail shop; plan and execute Channel marketing plan; develop acquisition and grooming activities for targeted customers
  • Achieve the assigned business targets which include new customer acquisition, turnover and enhanced customer satisfaction of targeted customers
  • Execute Channel Marketing plans to create and sustain business competitive advantages for targeted customer and business growth. This includes understanding consumer insights; developing effective visual merchandising strategies; identifying business opportunities leveraging database marketing analytics to drive customer activation, cultivation, engagement and retention; developing effective marketing / loyalty programs to engage and build relationship with customers; and launching new initiatives via digital media and social media platforms
  • Develop and manage customer experience in the new retail shop targeting specific customer segment in order to groom their racing and football interests and facilitate their experiences
  • Lead a team of staff and manages operation in the new retail shop to deliver a total customer experience and services to groom and engage customers
  • Undertake other duties assigned by his / her supervisors

About You

You should have

  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of managerial experience in channel and retail marketing, consumer research and with good exposure in customer service environment
  • Experience in managing retail operation in trendy branded store
  • Strong business acumen with good project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • People management skills and be a good team player
  • Innovative, energetic, independent and creative character
  • Expertise in project / programme coordination
  • Experience in managing consultants / vendors to deliver consumer research
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Knowledge of horse racing, football and lottery are preferred

Terms of employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
