  • Leading and managing the entire operation of the Society including but not limited to service development and delivery; financial planning, management and reporting; human resources planning and development; fundraising; investment and IT deployment, etc. with the support of various Committees
  • Assisting the Board in determining the long term strategic direction of Heep Hong Society in close alignment with the Society’s mission, vision and values
  • Implementing policies and decisions of the Board
  • Formulating effective business plan in accordance with the strategic direction as approved by the Board and articulating well across all functions
  • Modelling and fostering the Society’s culture, values, and behaviour that best suit the Society in accomplishing its visions and goals
  • Ensuring social services provided are of high quality and meeting the standards or expectations of the Government, stakeholders, service users, sponsors and Heep Hong Society
  • Representing the Society and establishing good working relationship with the Government, funders, volunteers, parents, other local or overseas organizations/individuals for support or promotion of the Society’s services and the welfare of children with special needs
  • Providing high level management guidance for day-to-day operations and adopting a high standard of practices to ensure operational effectiveness are achieved 
  • Ensuring the long term sustainability of Heep Hong Society as a leading provider of social services
  • Identifying new service needs and developing viable plans for meeting them
  • Collaborating closely with the Board in discharging its stewardship and management oversight responsibility


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Social Work, Social Science or Public Administration
  • Over 15 years of working experience of which 8 years in senior management position, rehabilitation field experience is an advantage
  • Proven track record as a high achiever
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Putonghua and Cantonese
  • Strong leadership and desire to succeed and excel
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Clear vision for Heep Hong Society
  • Strategic thinking
  • Honest and a high level of ethical standard
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & an effective communicator
  • Able to command respect in the sector and internally
