CIB - Equity Derivatives Trader - Associate

This role sits within the front office and will be working in a dynamic and busy trading floor environment. You will help senior traders cover institutional accounts and make markets in your group's particular range of products. You will assist the senior traders in managing risk, liquidity and exposure and you may support all aspects of the trading desk: pre-trade analysis, research on index constituent changes, inbound and outbound trade processing and the design of optimal strategies for large trades. Tracking supply and demand, you constantly evaluate market developments in order to give clients accurate product information.


  • Work with the senior stakeholders to effectively price and manage index linked products
  • Work closely with global sales force to price existing and new index linked products.
  • Effectively manage risk from structured index flows.
  • Achieve agreed revenue targets
  • Work closely with global sales force to drive the business forward
  • Work closely with IT/QA and control functions to build sustainable pricing, risk and control framework and tools.
  • Work in partnership with all infrastructure functions to insure proper control, accounting and clearing procedures are in place.
  • Engage in team meetings and business management to drive & deliver results
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, firm wide risk framework, and internal policies


  • Experience trading Asian index products
  • Strong awareness of market structure changes and the impact of regulation
  • Experience of working collaboratively in highly productive teams
  • High degree of numeracy
  • Strong communication skills, especially around complicated concepts
  • Works thoughtfully and logically
  • Strong and clear communicator
