CIB F&BM - Asia Investment Banking Product Controller, M&A and Billing- Associate

Role description:

The individual will cover a wide range of responsibilities including:
 

  • Controller for the M&A business and billing for the APAC region (Emerging Asia, Australia and Japan)
  • General Ledger - ensure the accuracy of balance sheet and P&L for M&A business by partnering with Financial controllers in Mumbai
  • Month-end close - ensuring accurate and complete close-off of books & records (e.g. close-off entries, FX trade-outs, resolution of any Front office-GL breaks, etc)
  • Oversight the billing activities (e.g. monitor aging and highlight recoverability concern) by partnering with other team members in Hong Kong and India
  • Understand the deal and advise revenue recognition treatment to business manager and deal team.
  • Partnering with global counterparts to ensure consistency in regional practices where applicable
  • Support ad hoc queries (e.g. internal / external audit) and business critical project support as required in a dynamic business environment
  • Determine and execute income attribution with reference to overall transfer pricing policy and framework

Qualifications/Skills required


  • Minimum 5 years experience with accounting / financial services background
  • Control and efficiency mindset
  • Well-organized and attention to details
  • Confidence in liaising with stakeholders across different functions & levels of seniority
  • Dynamic team player able to adapt to changing environment and multiple demands
  • Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication and influencing skills
  • Proactive, keen to learn and take on new responsibility
  • Strong organizational and time management skills: able to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines
