Main Responsibilities
    • Manage a number of client facing Middle Office teams in Asia, including hiring, development and performance management
    • Full accountability for the end to end query resolution raised by clients. These queries will include, but not be limited to Settlements and Corporate Actions, Tax and Income. This will involve detailed discussions/handholding with operations on processes and actions to be taken therein.
    • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients to understand client behavior and requirements
    • Drive resolution and management of client inquiries, leveraging internal teams globally and regionally, and identify opportunities for query elimination
    • Identify and drive operational efficiencies in the day to day processes
    • Successfully manage multiple concurrent projects to completion, spanning a global organization designed to improve the client experience, increase operational efficiency or reduce risk
    • Help analyze system infrastructure and existing process flows to determine gaps or opportunities for productivity
      Improvements
    • Monitoring and resolution of risk indicators to ensure that both J.P. Morgan and the client are aware of any issues that may have an adverse financial or reputational impact
    • Attend client meetings and calls with Client Service Account Managers when required
    • Working with a number of groups including the front office, product development, middle office, core operations, technology, finance
    • Participate in key senior management/stakeholder meetings
Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of Middle Office client facing experience, with expertise in Trades, FX, Cash, Collateral, Asset Servicing preferred
  • People management experience is a must
  • Comprehensive understanding of global markets, with a deep understanding of APAC markets
  • Strong understanding of the trades transaction lifecycle, Cash Management and Corporate Actions
  • Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong risk and control awareness
  • Excellent analytical/problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • This role will have regular internal and external senior stakeholder engagement. Therefore this person must be confident, articulate and able to represent J.P. Morgan and the Middle Office effectively
  • Motivated and able to deliver with minimal supervision, whilst working effectively in a team
  • Mandarin language skills is an advantage
