This front office role sits in J.P. Morgan Prime Brokerage focusing on Capital Advisory. You will help manage relationships with hedge fund clients and institutional investors and match our services and products to their needs. The position is highly entrepreneurial and multi-faceted; in addition to the primary Capital Advisory aspects of the role there are opportunities to broaden your skill-set into the Consulting-related functions.


Capital Advisory responsibilities:

Assist local start-up and established hedge fund managers, as well as global hedge fund managers, with their capital growth strategy by providing expertise on both the Asia-Pacific institutional investor market and overseas allocators investing into the region. In addition, you will help plan and organize global and regional events to showcase hedge fund clients to investors.

Consulting responsibilities:

Assist hedge fund Founders and COOs with all non-investment aspects of running a hedge fund management business, encompassing Technology/Infrastructure, Operations, Legal/Regulatory, and ESG.

The role will coordinate with the entire global Prime Brokerage franchise, and will also partner heavily with all the various desks across the firm that cover our hedge fund client base, including Equities, Fixed Income, and Futures & Options.

Your Background:

  • Preference for prior experience in any of the below:
    • Capital Advisory, Prime Brokerage Consulting, or Prime Brokerage Sales.
    • Hedge Fund Marketing/Investor Relations.
    • Hedge fund allocator roles.
  • Solid working knowledge of hedge fund strategies and trading styles as well as Prime Brokerage business dynamics.
  • Pre-existing hedge fund and/or institutional investor relationships are a plus, but not required.
  • Proven ability to synthesize and communicate complex subject matter, both verbally and in written format.
  • Confident communicator.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience is preferred

  • Written and spoken English fluency is essential.
  • Written and spoken Mandarin and/or Cantonese is preferred, but not required.
