CIB Sales and Marketing

CIB Sales & Marketing professionals help corporate and institutional clients navigate the breadth of the J.P. Morgan's product offerings across Markets and Securities Services. The teams focus on matching the firm's resources to our clients' needs. We do that through our traditional sales force that is organized by product, sector and geography, as well as through our e-Sales professionals who are spearheading the build out of our electronic offering, including the development of J.P. Morgan Markets.

The Global Investor Client Management (ICM) team works closely with our largest, most-active Investor clients to connect them to the firm's offerings that meet their unique needs.

As a senior Sales Executive in ICM you will be responsible for maintaining and developing key investor client relationships, including day-to-day partnership with both global and Local Market Sales teams. You will need the ability to be fluent and navigate in these products effectively among a broad range of clients along with idea generation and market insight. In addition, you will bring a collaborative approach working with our business partners in trading, securities services, treasury services, research and syndicate to provide comprehensive client coverage across the platform.

Key Responsibilities covered by these areas:

This role sits within the front office and will be working in a dynamic and busy capital markets floor environment. You will help grow and maintain relationships and market share with clients and match our services and products to their needs. You will work with product sales, trading and research teams to provide comprehensive client coverage, including fulfilling client requests for market updates, executing client orders and providing institutional clients with information about specific securities. You may also be involved in providing marketing ideas and help initiate transactions. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain wider exposure to other sales teams.

  • Supporting client requests and needs.
  • Implement selling as a continuum - independently and effectively complete a transaction from start to finish (make the call; send the research; sell and close the deal; book the trade)
  • Understand drivers of relevant markets and establish a high degree of competence with clients around executing trades.
  • Understands firm's approach and policies for managing risks in relevant business and applicable legal and regulatory rules, and follows policies.
  • Build foundation of trust with clients by demonstrating an understanding of their needs, clearly articulating desk ideas, and being responsive.
  • Balance potentially competing needs across clients, internal partners and the firm.
  • Conduct economic market research.
  • Prepare presentation materials and participating in deal pitches.

  • 10+ years of experience in sales,
  • Developed and established relationships with key investor clients at both trading and portfolio management levels
  • Critical thinker and driver of trade concepts and themes for investor clients
  • Strong understanding of fundamental product knowledge and market structure
  • Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative skill set including effective communication and presentation
  • Strong team player that partners well with principals of the platform including Research and Trading
  • The candidate needs to be able to deal confidently with people at all levels in the organization
  • The individual should be self-motivated, with the drive and skill to seek out new client opportunities and produce thoughtful trade ideas
  • Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
