CIB Treasury - Liquidity and Balance Sheet Management Lead - Vice President

CIB Treasury APAC is responsible for evaluating CIB Asia's balance sheets in order to help optimizing businesses' strategy in the context of both Legal Entity's and Firm's balance sheet, liquidity, capital, leverage and regulatory constraints. The team partners with Corporate Treasury to develop strategy for deployment of CIB's balance sheet and monitors compliance with the Firm's targets.

An in-depth knowledge of the businesses' products, customers, behaviors, trends and strategies, as well as interest rate risk, are paramount to the effectiveness and success of the team.


The CIB Treasury APAC team is seeking a member to support a broad array of initiatives for the CIB Treasury APAC.

  • Scarce financial resource management of APAC balance sheet
  • Evaluate liquidity and capital impacts of new business initiatives
  • Manage multiple projects
  • Formulation of cost allocation approach for scare resource utilization
  • Partner with CIB Markets and Banking businesses, TCIO and SCBM to drive APAC legal entity balance sheet optimization and achieve targets for respective legal entity
  • Work closely with CIB Business, Corporate Treasury and Liquidity Risk to update or develop liquidity stress methodology to reflect Asia product features and requirement in managing Legal Entity liquidity
  • Development and mentoring of junior team members

Qualifications and skills

  • The candidate should have 5+ years relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, data and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of accounting, short-term fixed income markets, funding / liquidity models, entity structure, or previous Treasury experience is advantageous
  • Familiarity with risk management / trading platforms is advantageous
