JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is a member of the service delivery team to Mercer’s Health clients. The job delivers claims enquiry support, claims adjudication, policy admin functions which are essential parts of Mercer’s broking service portfolio to Health clients.
  • Insurance claims enquiries
    • Answer telephone calls and emails from employees and HR of Mercer’s broking clients on topics including claim status, rejection reasons, benefit coverage and claim submission procedures
    • Provide peer review for other colleagues’ enquiry responses
    • Claims are in insurance categories of medical, travel, disability income, personal accident, life, etc.
  • ASO (Administration Service Only)
    • Input, process, adjudicate ASO claims (medical out-patient and wellness)
    • Answer telephone calls and emails from employees and HR of Mercer’s ASO clients
  • Broking policy admin
    • Manage census movements, logistics of membership materials, invoicing during policy renewal and within policy year for a Mercer broking client
    • Answer enquiries on policy admin from client HR
  • Improvement projects
    • Contribute as a team member to projects on improving service quality, effectiveness and efficiency
  • Internal Stakeholders
    • Claims Administrators, Broking consultants and business analysts for getting information on insurance policies and client requirements
  • External Stakeholders
    • Client HR, client employees for handling their enquiries
    • Insurers for acquiring information about insurance claims and policies

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Post-secondary diploma / degree
  • 2+ years of experience working in services related insurance claims (especially medical) or customer service contact center
  • Understanding of principles of insurance policies and claims
  • Spoken and written proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese essential, Mandarin optional) and English
  • Customer / Hotline service skills
  • Data compilation and processing using Microsoft Excel
  • Preferred: Qualifications fulfilling requirements for registration as Technical Representative of a member of Confederation of Insurance Brokers
