Claims Manager, Long Tail Claims

  • Handle and manage complex liabilities claims (e.g. public liability, employees’ compensation, product liability) from beginning to end efficiently and independently in accordance with the service standards, company’s procedures and guidelines
  • Determine and set up proper reserves on individual claim files in accordance with the reserving philosophy
  • Provide guidance and approve claims of team members
  • Proactive claims management and settlement
  • Instruct and liaise with adjusters and lawyers independently
  • Familiarize with claims system and perform claims portfolio analysis
  • Participate in the company’s projects and initiatives
  • Closely liaise with other functions to facilitate claims process
  • Conduct regular meetings with underwriters to update claims development and discuss trends
  • Attend clients facing activities and conduct internal and external meetings and trainings


  • Degree holder, adjuster or legal background will be an advantage
  • Minimum 7 years’ solid Employee Compensation and/or Liability claims handling experience
  • Analytical, responsible, detail-minded and solution-oriented
  • Good team work spirit; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive customer servicing mindset
  • Excellent Chinese and English writing skills
  • Good English speaking skill; business level Mandarin will be an advantage
