Claims Manager

Our company is looking for an experienced insurance professional to lead the claims team as Manager, Claims. This position will be responsible for developing the claims department from scratch with on-going plans to oversee the entire claims operation, developing and ensuring procedures and guidelines are adhered to while maintaining operation efficiency. The jobholder is required to communicate and work with major stakeholders within the company to ensure planned projects are managed and delivered on time.


  • Develop Claims Department from scratch
  • Identify areas for procedural improvement to enhance quality of service and operational efficiency
  • Review, assess or appoint investigation on claims that require investigation
  • Take lead in overseeing the investigation of special claims cases
  • Establish and take ownership of all claims management reports and make recommendations to senior management for operations improvements
  • Take full ownership in the approval of Claims submissions
  • Manage daily Claims administration functions and workflow


  • Degree holder or above
  • ACII / FLMI or equivalent is an asset
  • 10+ years experience in Life, Health, Medical and Group claims
  • Previous capacity as Medical Underwriter will be considered
  • Have CI Claims assessment experience
  • Strong team management skills
  • Analytical with good business acumen
  • Can work with minimal supervision
