Client Advisor - Special Client Situations


Are you risk aware? Are you comfortable to engage clients in facilitating account closure as a consequence of compliance/strategic business reasons for the region? We are looking for someone like that to:


  • process timely and compliant exit for identified clients according to our procedures and guidelines
  • manage client relationship in a restricted manner; continue to monitor and update closing progress for management reporting quarterly
  • ensure plausibility of the instructions received from clients; review, identify and assess risks associated to transactions and/or status changes that are emerged in the existing relationship
  • follow up/ensure adherence of deadlines for all risk driven remediation and ongoing risk monitoring activities
  • provide subject matter expert advices to our business on topics relating to cross border and centralised markets during client life cycle
  • work within business, functions and project teams to deliver on strategic projects and commitments

You’ll be working in the Special Client Situation Desk within Wealth Management Team in Hong Kong to support us in achieving the strategic, operational and compliance objectives. Together we build a strong defense to mitigate risks for the Bank.

You have:

  • strong experience in private banking industry of which 5 years in front line servicing role
  • good understanding of risk and compliance
  • knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering regulations in key jurisdictions in Asia including Hong Kong and Singapore
  • ability to assess and spot issues quickly, and make judgment decision on when to escalate to other functions, i.e. Legal and Compliance

You are:

  • independent, diligent and effective in prioritization and exit management of client’s book
  • a great communicator, excellent in dealing and handling challenge situations and clients
  • fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
