CLIENT OPERATIONS

Utilize advanced operational expertise surrounding the investment process as well as established departmental and regulatory guidelines to gather, analyze, negotiate, and communicate servicing requirements for new client accounts. Gather and analyze pertinent account reference data from a wide variety of internal and external sources. Lead operational meetings and conference calls with reps from all appropriate internal teams to review operational requirements of the account, identify potential issues, and assist internal teams to understand the servicing expectations. Address any identified issues that may require follow up with the client prior to inception of the account. Negotiate and establish data interfaces between client’s custodian and fund accountant and all appropriate internal teams and system. Perform audit checks on key data elements in various systems to validate that the account has been established accurately. Maintain and populate appropriate various internal client reporting and databases with relevant reference data. Monitor and report on service deliverables. Ensure that in-kind asset transfers associated with new accounts, additional funding’s, partial withdrawals or account terminations are reflected in all appropriate systems to enable accurate and timely portfolio management and trading in accounts. Utilizing documentation provided by clients, transition managers, custodian banks, Corporate Actions and other pertinent sources, prepare asset transfer files for loading to record keeping systems. Analyze reconciliation details provided to identify any potential variances than could impact the accuracy of trading and should be flagged for further review prior to releasing for trading. Interface with Compliance to ensure that compliance systems are accurately coded to address any required liens on securities to prevent trading in temporarily restricted securities. Handle all operational queries relating to pooled investments. Monitor and maintain questionnaire responses. Perform in-depth analysis and scrutiny on operational issues raised by clients and their service providers. Support the communication of forecasted client cash flow information to investment teams through population of designated systems.

To qualify for the position, you should be a Degree holder with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Advanced level of operational knowledge of investment industry practices and procedures. Experience in dealing with custodians, trustees and clients. Sound communication and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented.
