  • You have experience of using commercial opportunities to attract visitors
  • You have experience of managing/leading and developing a team
  • You have experience of creating and executing action plans
  • You have experience of marketing and activity planning
  • You have business experience and knowledge from either IKEA Food or another part of IKEA retailing
  • You have experience of high volume restaurant operation
  • You are preferably gained in an IKEA store or similar food service/hospitality environment
  • You are able to organize, plan and prioritize and takes responsibility and can delegate when necessary
  • You are a tactical thinker and ability to see how IKEA Food contributes to increasing the overall performance of an IKEA Store
  • You are able to read and understand written English and good communication in English
  • You are proficient in MS Office
  • You have at least 3 years of experience of management role in high volume restaurant



  • Customers are always in focus and strive to make them smile. Meet and serve our customers showing empathy, care, listen and support them with an attitude based on the IKEA values
  • Together with my colleagues and manager contribute actively in the development and implementation of a clear IKEA Food action plan for my store using the store business plan and country business plan. These are supported by input from Growing IKEA together and the IKEA Food Direction & Strategy
  • Work with Communication & Interior Design (Com&In) department and the Commercial Activity Leader/Local Marketing by actively contributing to and supporting all marketing and in-store activities. Integrating the Swedish celebrations and yearly focus area into the store’s Commercial Calendar
  • Together with the Kitchen Production Manager, plan and implement range changes in accordance IF SO direction
  • To maximize commerciality in order to grow sales as well as the conversion rate and average cheque. Use other appropriate tools such as the Functional Commercial Review, customer flow and the 10 Most Frequent Questions (MFQ) to strengthen quality perception and customer experience
  • Co-operate with the Kitchen Production Manager, ensure food displays are always fresh and look appealing. The presentation and communication of the food and beverage range is attractive
  • Share to my team our top-selling products, 3 Aces and 1 King, and that they are available and clearly communicated and displayed at all times. Promote alternative products when these are unavailable
  • Co-operate with the SFM & Bistro Team Leader to enhance the link between the IKEA Restaurant & Café and the Swedish Food Market. When appropriate, I take actions to promote cross merchandising/communication
  • Be a passionate leader who can bring business and people together. Inspired by the IKEA core leadership capabilities and strive to continuously develop as a leader and committed to the development of my team. Secure their training to ensure all co-workers understand the IKEA Concept and other key guidelines, and how they have an impact on their specific roles
  • Work together with the Kitchen Production Manager in operating my area according to the IKEA Quality and Food Safety requirements and implement the IKEA Hygiene plan to meet and secure my store’s requirements. Also ensure the Hygiene plan routines are known and followed in all daily work
