Communications Executive (Events) (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 201601605) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal).

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably with 1 to 2 years’ experience in organizing corporate events/activities such as conferences, seminars, lectures, ceremonies, cocktail receptions, networking events and in managing event-related job tasks such as handling enrolment and enquiry, database management, preparation of event collaterals, etc.  They should also possess a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluency in Putonghua), excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to multi-task, work independently and under pressure.  Ability in using design software would be an advantage.  Applicants with more experience may be considered for the appointment as Clerk I.

The appointee will handle all aspects of event management from logistic coordination to event execution as well as assisting the managers in delivering event plans.  He/She will (a) organize the Faculty’s events including but not limited to ceremonies, alumni events, press conferences, public lectures, knowledge exchange activities and VIP events; (b) prepare events and communication collaterals such as newsletters, press kits, brochures and reports; (c) handle ad hoc projects; and (d) perform any other duties as required.  Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a written test.  Applicants who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 201601479) need not re-apply.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefit.
